I dont know about you guys but I find some brands of Brakes always seem to squeal heaps when you are braking from 20Km/h to 0. I had a set which I just replaced after having them for 6 months and they use to drive me mad with the squeal. I got some news now and they only start squealing at the end of the day after doing lots of driving. Whereas the olds I had squealed soon as you turned over the Key and drove. I got slotted Rotors. Maybe too much dust being generated

Some of your cheaper brands of pads tend to squiel. Im running Maxistops at the moment, it said on the box "the silent power" what a load of BS that is as I have never had such noisy pads. They stop alright but I will never buy them again. I had a set of Froddo by Fedral Mogul on my XF and it didnt miss a beat.

I'd keep away form bendix advance, lets just say i've had bad experances with them. I've here'd some of the bosch ones arn't to bad. but if you want some thing to really stops, ultimates or greenstuff.

i bet alot of people will back me up (and some will probably disagree no doubt) but i think ultimates root up rotors real quick.

I had Metal King Pro pads on the ute with DBA slotted rotors, and they used to pull up better than my mates Celica. They were a bit squeaky down low though, like if you pulled up with slight brake pressure at the lights they would emit a constant squeak, but for stopping power and braking quality, i would put them on anything i own again.

I would have to say that EBC greenstuff pads would be the go they are fricken expensive but damn are they worth it (well so i have been told).
Also Formula Ferodo TS2000 brakes are supposed to be pretty good they cost about $169 for a pair.

Its an easy topic really..
If you are willing to dish out the dosh for EBC "Greenstuff" pads, do so and you will not regret it. If not I'd look towards some Bendix, but not the "Ultimate" range, those things are known to shred your discs up and send your rims black before you can say D'oh!

I'm another EBC greenstuff user, fitted them plus RDA slotted's all round to the tickford when I got it a few months ago. Superb performance with bugger all dust. Anyone with brake dust, wash your wheels and then apply a couple coats of a paint sealant and if you wish, a synthetic wax, not carnauba. This will in most cases totally eliminate dust and only washing them just before you shampoo the body will keep them in top shape.
Ferodo heavy duties and TS2000's are good also

Got Bendix advance on now (with fairly new std DBA rotors) and im not happy at all. The brakes have no bight like they used to, also you need to put your foot down alot harder for the same effect.

Serious thats not that much, i would of thought that they would be quite expensive. I was thinking they would be like $150+a pair. I might get them insted of Ferodo's then (another thing i need to do as well) need new brakes bad LOL.
