What brand/model brake pads do you guys like? Mine are due for replacement soonish.
I do a fair bit of freeway driving (i.e. pulling down from 100+ km/h) and alot of stop/start peak hour driving every day. I'd like I good firm response from the pedal without too much brake dust for when I get my wheels done. e; I'm probably going to replace my rotors with slotted dba's soon too.

bendix advance are supposed to be good, and so are bendix ultimates, but the ultimates can be quite harsh on rotors.
I hear lucas is pretty good as well

i wouldn't say ultimates - i had to keep cleaning my mags once a week - they create so much dust. i've got the advance ones on now - happier with them...

I have Green stuff.
I like them. A mate fitted them onto his AUII XR8 - he doesn't like them. |

Greenstuff are made by "EBC" and can be picked up from Hitek Brakes in victoria (they mail too, outside of vic) for roughly 100 bucks for memory, maybe a lil bit more..
I have them on my i6 nf fairlane and they are great and have it booked in for monday to get them on my new fairane by tickford, 250 for the fronts but only coz they use the huge pbr brake setup on the fbt.. Ive booked in for: slotted rotors/ebc pads/new bearings/seals/fluid - the lot! Pricey yes, but the guys at hitek realy know there stuff and do awesome prices for us fordmods boys and girls - search the net for their site or email me!

I am not sure if it is just me however I am very picky with my brakes, or perhaps it will never be as good as my parents cars..
Be that as it may, I've had stock pads and rotors which weren't too bad, slotted with advance which were shocking and greenstuff with slotted, which are better than advance but for the money you pay you expect the performance you get out of them. The bad thing about the greenstuffs is that they need to be warm to get max braking capability out of them. If you are in the wet, they aren't very good at all... That is just my experience anyway, when my whole current brake setup dies and I can afford it I'd definitely be looking at a bigger upgrade.
