I need to change my front pads and was wondering what brand people are using. Basically I want pads that don't squeal and don't dust up to much. I was thinking about using bendix. If any body has any part numbers it would be great. The car is for a EL EX6. Thanks in advance

I use Bendix Ultimates. They are a great pad but do dust a lot.
I've heard good things about Bendix Advance, less dust. Stay away from Bendix Performax, s**t! Gave me the spongiest feeling pedal, I took them out after three days and got another set of Ultimates. Go here http://www.discpads.com/default.asp to get your part numbers.

EBC Greenstuff if you can spare the coin for em.
Had them on my Std brake setup - awesome, go the slotted rotors too. Have them on my FBT brake setup - brilliant, altho twice as $$$!

I just got my brakes redone:
DBA Slotted Disks up front. Lucas Pads front and rear. brake caliper service and fluid flush + wheel bearings = $645 from ABS brakes. At light brake applications the car feels about the same as stock, but as soon as you press a little harder or speeds over 60 km/h you can really feel the difference. Pads were about $70 a pair front or rear, no squealing, no dust (yet), no big difference when they are cold. Hope that helps.

Interesting comments there Darin.... I agree ultimates are very messy numbers, and can be fairly rough on the rotor. I heard Bendix changed the 'formula' in these pads about 18 months ago? Regarding performax, I had these fitted to my car about 6 months ago, up front (advance on rears). My mechanic warned me that they take a fair while to bed in, apparantley this warning is specific to late model falcons....  It was about 2-3 weeks of no hard braking and no continual braking (bad practice anyway...) and after this time they begin to feel "normal" again.
Not exactly inspiring stuff being told not to brake hard for 2 weeks (hard braking not usually a matter of choice, lol) but seemed ok once bedded.

Regarding performax, I had these fitted to my car about 6 months ago, up front (advance on rears). I had the Performax on my XH, haven't had them on the Fairmont but they do run the same rotor and pads. I was so surprised by how my pedal felt, it was un-nerving. Bedding in pads for two weeks would drive me crazy! 
When I bought the Mont I don't know what pads were in it but they were shocking! One hard stop and they threw in the towel. Something REAL cheap, I think. Didn't take long to convince me to change them all.

Yerp, I can say that bendix pads are value for money - theres better out there for sure but price wise you will pay for em.
My brakes took 2-3 weeks to bed in too - altho i wasnt driving very much, just to work n back with the odd city drive.

i put bendix ultimates in in the weekend and they are the worst pads i've ever had, they are squishy and have no feel to them. i'll be changing to lucas pads next week.

Did you bed them in properly? Should have come with specific instructions for the falcon. Dont get me wrong - if they suck, they suck... just dont wanna see people throwing out perfectly good pads!

I have EBC Greenstuff's, probably the best I've had but the brakes on E series falcons are still awful in my opinion, in comparison to the AU and the BA. If you really want good brakes, I'd suggest bigger rotors and calipers although it is big $$$.
