Hey do different brake pads wear out differently?

On my Coupe my front wheels are constantly covered in thick black brake dust. But on my ex girlfriends Corolla Levin there is next to no brake dust and she hasnt washed her car in ages. Do different pads deteriate over time or are mine just on the way out?

different brands and different models will make different dust and noise. E.g. Bendix Advanced are common with squeeling. Real cheap brake pads (Ferrodo Zero's and Silverline Plus) wear out really quick and make a lot of mess.
The more expensive the pad the harder the material and the less dust it should be.

If you check the box some pads are rated as low dust, the pads I'm using now are metal and create a lot of black dust, the last ones I used were non metal and didn't create any dust.
Factory pads in Mercs were very bad for dust so quality pads doesn't always mean clean wheels.

No different to the rest of any Hyundai then.... Looking ugly that is...
Bendix General CT or Advanced. or Ferrodo Excels or Targets should be alright...
