The miss's and I bought a BA wagon this weekend (private sale) and the breaks shudder badly when you apply the break above 80k's, I threw it up on the hoist when we got it home, the rotors apear to be in new condition with no hot spots . is this a common fault in the BA's????

Im surprised it passed roadworthy. Could be worn bushes on the upper control arm.

i've put standard DBA rotors on mine, they havent warped as yet. Factory discs are made of cheese...

Yeah mate very common on the Ba's, Standard fix is replace rotors with quality ones-DBA-RDA etc. Also I have done some searching on this subject & its my opinion that the shudder can be caused by a couple of things, 1)machine discs on car & fit soft good quality pads. 2)check & or replace lower control arm bushes. 3) check & or replace balljoints.

What pads you using & what sort of driving do you do? If your easy on your brakes like me,with nearly all country driving then try softer pads. They heat up faster!

A set of DBA discs cheap from a sponsor will fix that up real quick.
