Hi guys
In the process of changing over my brake pads and rotors when I read through a tutorial on how to do so. I saw that the person said to use some brake squeal paste on the backing of the brake pads. It comes in both paste and can form but I can't wrap my head around what exatcly this stuff does? Also do any of you use it? Cheers |

hey mate i got some put on my pads after they fitted my slotted rotors, can't say it made much of a difference though, they still squeaked but now they dont ( i think the dodgy bit squeaking just wore down though)
Its the red paste in the photo

That's the stuff ! My uncle picked up the spray stuff for his pads. I get a squeak with my rear pad now, only because it was worn unevenly when my rear axle was bent. But the axle is fixed now and thought if I waited long enough with driving the car the pad would start to wear even again, but because i don't do a huge amount of driving it still hasn't gone.

yeah thats a shame its rear as they take longer to wear down. I had constant problems with brake squeal but all worn away now, i just get a bit of shudder but thats standard on falcons so i just ignore it/use the other pedal instead
