I just had new rotors, pads, wheel bearings and a sysytem flush carried out. But 1 day after having it all done, there is a high pitched rotational squeal coming from the front left brake when the car is not under brake. Is this normal? its really annoying. I would take it back to the shop but its sunday and I wont be able to get there till next Saturday cos of work. There has been no hard driving or braking,so as to bed the brakes in.

They may have used metal fibre pads. They can squeal when a fibre starts to flake off and rub on the rotor. You brake and it goes away. Only way to fix is with a non metal/organic type pad.

Did you check to see if the caliper slide pins were free to move??? If they are seized, they can cause probs like that.

Bit of brake squeal at first is fairly normal especially if you got high performance pads.

I have Hi-Po pads and they don't squeal.
