That willys engine, what will you do about common parts like gaskets, filters and belts and so on? I take it they're far and few by now.

Luckily, modern sealants/ adhesives takes care of that. The head gasket is a 40's Willys Jeep one, that I modified, just needed one more hole in it. I made a gear for the oil pump, and made the adaptor, so it can run a Z9 oil filter, as they didn't have oil filters except for a screen in the sump. I found an oil seal that would fit for the front crank seal, and fitted a Speedi sleeve to fix the front crank pulley. The rear seal is non-existent, it has a reverse worm/thread, so you didn't park them on a steep hill, front uphill, or the oil would run out..lol. Also what was lucky, is that the Jeep had the same valves. The bearings had to be remetaled,( not same as Jeep, smaller) as were the conrods ( don't have slipper type bearings ).

was thinking of getting a complete K frame from a BA and putting it on Have you ever checked out "macxr8's" (Shane) EL sedan (He is an Admin at Trueblue Ford, he also frequents this forum too), he fitted AUII front and IRS rear. http://www.trueblueford.com//shane_el.html I took heaps of pictures of the conversion at the last Fordmods Sydney Dyno day only to find out the digital camera wiped most of them for some reason I am weighing up whether to do the same or similar conversion to the front to get the better brakes and AU offset wheels.
