so i called Pedders today after a quote to get DBA 4000 slotteds all round and they said not to bother with them on the back and suggested just a plain rotor on the back with normal pads and dba 4000 slotteds on the front and bendix HD pads
thoughts ?? the front im happy with but im not real sure about going plain on the rear just coz i want to upgrade front and rear

Well the fronts do most the work, but if you want them matching, they should do it! maybe you found an honest guy who was trying to save you some dollars!

I believe the best improvement anyone can do to brakes,is to replace the rubber hoses,with braided ones.

Braided hoses work better as they are not as flexible as the rubber type. In other words, rubber hoses expand when pressure is applied, taking some of the force away, whereas braided are contained, so that all pressure is transmitted directly to the brakes.

ye im lookin at rotors to get rid of the brake shudder then i was considering braided lines latter down the track

braided lines are generally about $60 a corner (but seriously dont quote me on that) & don't ask either my thoughts as I've never used them
I would suggest a rotor & pad upgrade though if your having shudder issues. normal BA rotors are made of cheese & cause issues at a moments notice. Have a look at the site sponsors, I picked up a set of slotted rotors with free pads for the same price as standards. If its track use, almost think about cross drilled. But during colder use you'll have a lot more squeal & potential warp issues

Stick to a general slotted rotor. OP, just get standard slotted rear rotors, not DBA4000

mate i piked up a set of them cheapo cross drilled and slotted rotor from a guy that got em off evilbay coz my falcon had the dreaded shudder.
I tell ya wat from 100km/h she stopps dead in like 5 metres. almost ripps ya face off. lol. Also was running cheapo jinu tyres on the front at the time. Im preety happy with em. im sure they will crap emself soon but till then ill just keep smiling. lol.
