My brakes are making a clamping noise when I brake while turning. It sounds like its coming from the front brakes. Any ideas?

Are the wear shims still in place on the front spindles? the disc pads rub on them. And are the caliper slide pins free to move? When was the last time the brake fluid was changed? Are the wheel bearings properly adjusted?

Wouldn't have a clue on either of those things mate.. Anyone recommend any good brake places around town to get those things checked out? Any idea of a price I would be looking at for a complete brake checkup (just price for the check up). Yes I know there is a sponsor for the site but they are located abit too far for me atm.

Isn't there a ford workshop near you? at Broardmedows? If you don't know much about brakes, then you are better off with professional help, it works out about the same, but less heartache, and done properly.
