I was just reading on the FPV site that Bremo brakes are an option... It said something about being hydraulic run or something. Does anyone know anything about these? could i install it fairly easily onto my ED? I currently have 4wheel disc braking and ABS. Cheers
Jamin

No wont fit your ed unless you plan on fitting a BA front end to your car, ie Weld in front Lower control arm mounts, new stub axles and upper control arms etc

I have done a Brembo conversion to the front of an EL, and unless you have in excess of 4k to spend, its not going to happen. |

yer i dont think 4grand is going to be wasted on the breaks somehow lol. maybe down the line a bit but for now what would be a more simpler system to put on?

You want really good brakes for the street, heres what I got.
4 DBA Slotterd rotors (call PBR for a price) 4 Braided steel lines (call PBR for a price) Formula Ferodo pads at the front $120 Bedinx Ultimates at the rear $100 AP racing fluid about $40 After one stop to warm the pads and fluid up, stops really good, very bitey, but the ped needs to be pushed hard as I am still using standard Calipers. As good as you need for the street. |

I was planning to go the cebco 4-pot kit for my EL before I decided a new car was what I wanted (and it came with Brembos standard). They look the goods, and AP Racing make good callipers. I believe there's photos on here of someone who's got them.
terroristghia has the CMS brake upgrade. pyroay, has an AP Racing set up (don't know if it's the cebco kit or not).

What was the ballpark $$ on that? GT spindles $1600 Rotors $330 ea Calipers $1800 about 20 hours of labour so just under 4 I guess. It helps alot when you can do most of the work yourself. |

Did teh brembos mount directly to the spindles with no dramas or did you have to make an adaptor plate

I had to make up some mounting blocks, will get some pics now. You can get some Brembos that bolt directly onto the GT spindle off the 03 Cobra IIRC |
