the above mentioned seal busted in the ED last night, i have myself a new one here, thing is, im not sure how to put it in.

(yes i tried search)

can anyone point me in the right direction?

what seal is it exactly??

is it the one at the back of the gearbox? or internal?

at the back of the gearbox i think, the sump plate is covering it.

its on the left side at the back, its a little plate that has a spring in it.

dont worry, ive fixed it and it works good now lol

just in time too lol. it was slipping out of first in to neutral then slamming back into gear today :lol:

the servo cover seal im guessing? did you replace the o-rings on the servo too?

thats the one! nah we didnt replace the O-rings. (really should have... oh well) the trans only has another 10,000km in it i reckon before it dies, then im going to convince mum that a manual conversion is cheaper than a new auto :lol:

yeah it probably is....
if your lucky you can do what i did, pickup an EA 5sp wagon for $400, sell the motor for 300 and use the 5sp in your car :)
it was a win-win in my case because it had a reco motor and reco gearbox and new clutch, only bad thing was it was hit in the side, but i managed to turn it into below ---v
