Good idea. Like makin' babies - even if it doesn't work, it's a heap of fun trying.

I do agree but wouldn't the granny gear mapping contribute to fuel economy ? I drive my 4 speed BF like a granny most of the time but I'm still pleasantly surprised by how hard it does rev just after one or two WOT inputs, though you can instantly enhance by selecting 'performance mode' which is pretty much the power economy button.
I read it was possible to change the base minimum performance value in the AU's, I think it ranges from say 1 to 150 economy to performance respectively. Setting the base mode keeps the points up high to the set rate i.e performance. I believe the B series don't have this option. I see it as a bit like the cluster diagnosis though, sure it's cool and occasionally usefull, but it's a hassle to keep changing around. I can see arm79's point of view with the button, but adaptive has it's benefits.
