i have noticed lately since dropping the EL ECU in that my 4 speed auto holds gears when you pull it back a gear or 2, i can be on the highway and come up to roadworks and i normally just pull it back to 3rd and the car slows itself but lately it will stay in 4th/lock untill i tap the throttle which it then drops down.

i have also noticed since putting the new motor in i have NO!!!! compression breaking what so ever... i pull it back a gear or 2 and it will just sort of roll...

anyone know whats going on?

Sounds like a transmission problem of some kind.. I forget the exact details but my Max Ellery manual describes symptoms much like that and the probable cause.. I could look it up if you like.
