hey all,

have an fg ded lpg with the 4 speed auto.
when engaging drive it is very harsh, so much that when on gravel the rear tyres chirp a little.
just wondering what it is. assume it is worn clutches or solenoid???

the auto drives smooth at all temps just harsh when putting into drive.

Regards

May need a service, or a solenoid, or the cooler has failed and letting water/coolant into the tranny.....hard to say from here.

serviced every 50K max interval last one was only about 10K ago.

Cooler is external davies craig to suit V8/heavy towing.

how to check solenoids?? it shifts smoothly no slipping/flairing which i thought it would do if solenoid??
