hello campers,

After driving for around 400 kays today, with no unusual noises, i jumped in the car to go to the shops, and the second i put the car in gear it starts to whine, take off and it sounds louder than an xf auto. whines rather badly esp at low rpm, so bad that my folks heard the noise from in the house.

my question would be, will an oil change stop this? has been ~17,000 since the auto oil was changed.

p.s. i want to convert my car to a manual very soon, but i need this trans working for at least a month yet.

try an oil change, it couldnt hurt. i ignored those noises from my box and ended up burning the bands

The BTR in my mother's EL sounds like a vacuum cleaner on steroids in first and second, is this not normal?
