I had a C4 in the XY,the speedo worked fine, now I changed to a Borgie 4 speed, put in the same speedo gear, cable ...and no speedo.

So I presume I need a differnt size gear, the yellow speedo gear in the box looked fine, was straight, not worn like in the first box I had in...

Tried turning the speedo gear by hand and the speedo worked fine,so the cable is ok...

Any clues???

vik...the box came from Walker, could that be the problem???

i 'think' that the cable (or just the little gear on the gearbox end) is different.
The Single Rail shares the same gear as the Borg Warner 35s.
The Top Loader has the same gear as the C4.

Not 100% sure though

Like i meant, get a gear out of an old BW35 cable. They are more common than single rails i figure, should fit and fix it.
Im pretty sure they are different to the C4 ones.

Anyone else ??????

Im sure C4 were right cut and BW were left hand cut

that should make the speedo work at least.

depends on your diff ratio wether it is the right size though so it may not give you the right speed.
