simple when you are accelerating you wont be able to change but as you come of throttle you pull out of gear and "blip" the accelerator whilst putting in next gear...
i snapped the cable in my XF and drove it home (bout 15 mins) but im a lazy a** and have changed clutchless many a time LOL its hard to explain but when you get it you understand... im also very interested in a hydraulic clutch conversion as my single rail wont be any good with the turbo 250 im building... (toploaders are hydraulic) cheers |

So, just to get this topic going again.. Does anyone know if there are kits available to convert cable to hydraulic??
I have an au with t5. The clutch is heavy. Done all the usual things, new cable and light clutch but its still pretty heavy. I'm just after a kit or someone may know of a clutch system of another model with fits. I'm aware that cable pulls and hyd pushes. Easily fixed by mounting piston behind fork I guess?? |

Thanks. It is a bit pricey.. Looks like you get the t56 with it. I might look at custom fitting something myself. Try and make something to give me more mechanical advantage rather that hydraulics..

Mine is cable, I have an RPM clutch kit....no cracked firewall, no broken pedal.....no worries. The clutch I had in my Valiant however.....my leg would start trembling after about a minute, minute and a half, at the lights....that thing was heavy....heavier than a V8 Holden Tonner clutch....was much the same as an XY Phase III GT clutch.......and I rode pushbikes a lot too.
