hey guys,
i have just had front shudder from warped rotor so got front rotors machined and cleaned out calipers, left hand caliper bolt (where it bolts onto disc?) was pretty well seized so i crc'd it and got it moving (pads about 2 months old) fixed shudder but now there is a click or slight clunk in left caliper when braking, doesn't happen all the time but mainly when going slower. i noticed the pad is a bit loose when sitting over night, would the piston be be pulling back and the slapping, clicking, clunking noise just be reengaging of pads? have just replaced shocker (as was in need) but noise still there anyone else had this problem? |

Are the metal shims in place and a bit greased. Mine do a similar thing also at random times.

thanks for reply, which metal shims? think ive found the problem, the bolt connecting upper control arm to upper ball joint is stripped and clunks when turning wheel backwards and forwards, will change and get back to you

Im refering to the metal shims the brake pads rest on, on the stub axle.

i just googled it, lol the shims must be part of the pad as there are no extra ones, but i might buy some so they are not loose? think the noise is coming from upper ball joint but hard to pinpoint where
