Yeah either way, the only thing that wears a but is a small rubber bush type thing |

You need to shim the front otherwise you will wear your tires out in no time. When I had mine done I waited a week and I could see the wear on the inside in that time, about 600km. Had mine done by K-Mart Auto. They did a great job, supply and fitted kit and wheel alignment for under $200.00. When you think of the cosy of 17" tyres this is a cheap investment.

Usually vice versa to compensate for more weight in rightside... IMO -1.20 ain't too much, but it all depends on your driving style. I'm not sure about the pros/cons of having camber so different left to right, maybe someone more knowledgable could help there. My advice would be, if it feels alright handling wise, then drive it around, and just keep an eye on tire wear. Mine is running approx. -2 on left, and -1.3 on right, and seems to be wearing well. But I have a tendency to go for highspeed drives thorugh very twisty roads... It's quite common for suspension geometry to be different RH to LH. That's because there's ALWAYS someone in the driver's seat, but there's not always someone in the passenger's seat. It's even quite common to have a slightly stiffer spring on the RHS compared to the LHS. We're only talking 5 lbs or so stiffer here though. |

I needed one when my ride wasn't even lowered. There definately worth it. I got a Nolathane one from work and Bob Janes installed it for free for me when they fitted the 17"'s on (they were having trouble lining it up with the 15"'s, and it was showing the front tryres scrubbed out on the sides very queer, all is perfect now though).
From memory I payed only $40.00 each side for my kit (obviously employee prices), recomended retail is twice that! |
