got a camber kit here i wanna intall to my el, just wanna know if there is a tutorial on it.

as i havent attempted this before any help will be greatly appreciated.

what type of camber castor kit is it is it a shim pack type that replaces your top control arm mounts

nah its a nothalane thread adjusted one.

there is two types...

your basic one is the same upper mounts but with longer bolts to add shims in...

the K-Mac ones I've never seen but they are shim-less, and there must be a bolt in them somewhere that winds them out from the mudguard...

Air tools will make this job so much easier if you have them because suspension parts are done up bloody tight...

You just lift it up, may need to take the caliper off to get enough movement in the upright... Undo the top ball joint... undo the top wishbone completely... replace mounts... reassemble...

Now I've only ever used shims before...

You add 2.5 half shims onto the upper mounts and thats a rough starting point...

When you tighten suspension it must be loaded... So the best way for this is a hoist and then use a transmission jack or similar to jack the wheel up just til you lift the sill off the hoist and then tighten everything back up otherwise you will twist rubbers and have numerous squeaks... I'd reckon it'd be very hard to be doing it on the ground, trying to load suspension and then getting under it to tighten stuff up... but others on here may have more help... I've only done it on a hoist...

Then you'll need a wheel aligner...

You Castor shouldn't move if you space front and back mounts evenly... Camber and Toe will need to be check and probably reset though for optimum handling and tyre life...

If you have K-Mac ones someone else will need to help because I've nevered used them... I've been told they can move once installed esp if your on rough roads and the like... whereas a shim is never gonna change... And their cheaper at the end of the day and I reckon just as easy to adjust (esp with a hoist)...

yeah in that case same as the K-Mac kits that I always see advertised... Didn't realise that was the actual brand & Product description, only ever seen K-Mac ones...
