Hoping to lower my EF soon. I know the backs are easy, and I know how to do the front struts too. Im going to try get a camber kit for the front from u pull it because 10 or 20 dollars beats 200, and makes my lowering much cheaper.

Anyway, can somebody please send me a pic of what it looks like installed, and where the hell it goes!? Cheers guys

just curious, because I was looking for a camber kit too and didn't know what they were worth.

inner upper arms,2 each side-bushes if you can see them will be red-blue\nolathane and a lot of shim packs, inside bolt threads will be about 50mm long,30mm longer than stock,if the bushes are worn you can buy them separately, wheel alignment guys have more if you need them,so dont worry to much.

I spent $175 on my camber kit when it was lowered. A very good investment as 1 tyre costs more than that. They are located on the upper control arm and have 2 per side. You would be better off just buying new ones as second hand ones from a wreckers more than likely will be worn and wont have the adjusting shims you need.

Here are some examples>> http://cgi.ebay.com.au/FORD-FALCON-EA-t ... 240%3A1318

I have this one>> http://cgi.ebay.com.au/Ford-EA-EB-ED-EF ... 240%3A1318

Here is the range of Nolathane kits for Fords.
(Excerpt from online catalogue, Nov 2008)

This is excellent gear, in my experience......

I second that and are far cheaper then the K Mac Ratchet type. Ive had no problems with the Evolution kits moving even over unsealed roads.

Here is a pic of a Nolathane Shim Type kit, during installation.
(I had great results with this kit on my old EB)

OK.... glad you showed me that.. turns out I just scored those today with my Ghia front end..

I wondered why when I undid the bolts half a ton of shims fell out.

never having had one of those out before, I didn't know they were not normal.

cool, so I have a camber kit on my new front end.. this gets better and better.

This is what I just picked up:

I think it is the same thing.. but I can't figure out why someone would install this on a car with only XR6 springs (off an EL fairmont Ghia.).. didn't think you'd need them for what are only slightly lower springs than normal.

Still, I'm not going to complain...

well from my view ....had nothing but prob's from the "evolution" or what ever it's called by diff brands- but still the same product , have had issues with noise even after changing from nolathane to hardend rubber & bolt's coming loose! maybe the installer? but when went back to shim setup (same installer , not at my cost) has been good as!!!!

Don't suppose you'd scan those instructions and put them up for me?

don't know which way these shims go in or how many to put in etc.

Sorry, instructions got thrown out after the install. My mechanic
friend did the job with me assisting but I'll tell you what I know....

- Pack the same type and number of shims in the same way around on
each kit to equate to "approximately" the same setup as the original
stud length. ie match tip of studs and original base plate (old) with tip
of studs and added line of shims (new). From memory this was
about 8-10mm of shims, say 2 thick, 2 thin.

- I don't think it matters which way the shims are placed in, but
make it mirror each side.

- Re-install the control arms, with the kits and shims secured.
Eyeball a wheel alignment as best you can.

- On completion get the car straight to the wheel alignment shop
and ask them to set up the front end for alignment and camber.
They will add or take away shims as required to get it spot on.

Thanks for all the help guys, helped alot.

Picked up a set that looks identical to frankieh's, got the 2 off each side and lots of shims. Free! Bushes are black, but in excellent shape.

Cheers guys.
