Hey all i have a 4 litre eb II auto.....ever since friday night my cars been making a strange noise, almost like a winding or charged noise through gears under heavy acceleration. for starters the car runs fine...the noise doesnt happen till the car reaches a warmer temperature then gradually the winding gets louder then it just choses to not change to second gear. The car has a little bit of grip to push but it feels as though it is free revving?

Is it possible that my alternator is completely ruined causing the tranny to play up? because the car dont run wen i d/c the battery which is normally a tell tale sign of a rooted alt.

how long since its had a service ?

may need one pretty quick.

So i got the Gear Box Serviced now it runs better then ever No Slipping Stopped Changing Gears Constantly The Problem was the Belts Where Worn and the Tranny Oil was Completely Black
