Hi do any mechanics out there no if its a universal joint or birfield joint that would make my car vibrate at 80ks and over? i recently had both parts replaced due to a clonking noise on take off, they where both aftermarket parts.
????????
Advice would be greatly appreciated.

Rear Indipendant suspension?

Take it to a tyre place and get them to do a wheel alignment and get them to check all your running gear too (drive shaft, suspension ect.)

Sounds like your tyre's are unbalanced or old.

No, i no for sure that its nothing to do with susspension or tyres, it only occured once leaving the workshop from getting the above parts put in...
Took the car back the next day n he said thats what u get sometimes from aftermarket parts...havent gone to ford yet cause i wana determine the actual part i want replaced, cause they can f**k u over if u just walk in n say , hi my car is vibrating, can u have a look, they will turn around n say , problem fixed we balanced ur wheels etc, but problem will still be there, does any 1 know about the CV joints or birfield on the falcons??

Oh i see.

If i was in your situation i would go back to the original mechanic you had this done at and demand they fix it/replace the parts.

If they want to you buy genuine fair enough, if they want you to buy more aftermarket crap tell them to go shove it and go to ford or another more reliable mechanic.

My local bridgestone tyre center has always been great with suspension stuff.

It's alright, they all do that. It's a speed limiting device.

Yeah ill consider going to ford only, as i cant trust normal meachanics unless u now them, but hey who can u trust these days..

Well thats really helpful isnt it? Typical Queenslanders

OP Just take it to a good suspension place for a inspection, they should tell you why is vibrating. at >80km

If your hitting the limiter all the time you can expect things to wear/break quickly, hell i only got a old au2 forte but at least i am a green p :)

"Cruising" speeds like 100km-120 is fine, but if your always 150km/h+ then well, you get what you pay for.

The OP throws anything of any value away, why should anyone take him seriously? I have given advice in other threads and been told I'm full of s**t, when quite clearly, I'm not.

No. Ford's line will more than likely be: It's within tolerance, they all do that. The speed limiting device was a joke as you don't want to go faster than where it starts to shake. In all honesty, check the basics, all bolts tensioned correctly? Wheel balance is where I would look.
