Well I started fitting my whiteline gear, rear was no troubles and looked easier to do then the front. I love how things just fall out lets you know you done it right :)

Ok so I started doing the front, I'm replacing the powersteering rack so that came out first, was pretty easy except the driver side bolt which is in a prick of a spot  then the swaybar came out, nice and easy! I then came to the springs, I read somewhere and after looking at the setup I had to disconnect the upper ball joint from the upper arm. Passenger side came off no worries, no bashing it or anything :) Out with the shock and spring. Moved to the driver side after a few bashes with the hammer and no go i tried the crowbar, still no go. I also read somewhere to leave the nut on so you don't damage the thread. So after some more bashing with the hammer it finally came loose :) So I go to take the nut off and after a while I realise i'm not turning the nut i'm turning the entire thread! So i figure that i've just screwed that ball joint :( So I figured that i'm gonna have to get a new one pressed in, some more bashing and out with the lower one, had to unbolt the upper arm shims falling out arrg!

So I now have the spindle with the upper arm attached as I think i'm gonna have to get a hacksaw and cut the thread on the balljoint! Hoping I'll have time to put it back together this week!

Please don't tell me there was another way of removing the shocks and springs without disconnecting the upper balljoint from the upper arm?

this is why ball joint removers are great tools...

it does however sound nasty. get a set of multigrips on the thread and the then try and turn the nut (on the bolt not the one standing next to you)

You already had lowered springs in yeah, could have just undone the upper a-arm, swung it out of the way and then levered the lower control arm down a bit and the strut would have slid out fairly easily.
But I didn't tell you that lol!

Damn, removing the upper arm would have worked :( The front springs were just tickford ones, I only have one spring compressor but it did the job. Also I thought ball joint removers screwed up the rubber on the ball joints and mine are/were fine.
