okie, well, i got the brakes off, and the tie rod end off and boot off, can see the whole inner rod end ... but there is some kinda clip or lock washer on it ... how do i get that off?? with a big screw driver???

help pls!!!

Well in general a good sledge hammer has multiple uses...

This may be one of them lol i got nothing... Never had to do it dont own a dodgy NL lol jks

yep fold the ears back on that washer and with a strong good gripping pair of multi grips,or monkey wrench undo,anti clockwise of course,dont know why you took the brakes off though?? i always put a couple of drops of locktight on the threads of new one for reasurance,and put some grease on the thread going into the tie rod and a smear under the boot where it touches the rack end, that makes us wheel aligners jobs easier now and future, probably already fitted them judging by the date ?oh and of course fold them flaps back over the end at least the one that you can get at taking care not to mark or score the coating on the rack itself
