Hey guys just changed the front pads and rotors on the EB II and after doing so the check abs light comes on, a mate who changed the rotors and pads etc. says it would be the speed sensors not being able to dectect how fast the car is traveling because the new rotors came with out the plates on the bck of the rotor.
He said the plates could be transfered, is this corect or do i need to go and buy new rotors with the disks in there? soory if i dont mke sence at the moment i have had a few drinks. -nick

I'm guessing you did the front brakes...
Did you get ABS or non-ABS rotors? If they are non-ABS, you will have to go buy ABS ones. You apparently can take the ABS ring off, but I dont think anyone has.. It looks like its easily f**k, and ABS rotors are only about $10 more each. |

those plates on the back of the rotor are not speed sensors! they are the abs sensor ring.
you have got non-abs rotors and will need to buy abs ones, you could try and re use your old ones but i don't know if it will work or not.
