Yeah, cutting springs, = very bad idea .

I've done it, But I had a spare set of stocko springs, I just wanted to see how low I could get my car to take some photo's.

Had them in for about .an hour, took some photo's, drove it around the block, and then just put the lows back in ..

I found with the cut springs, the ride was very firm, But VERY VERY boncey .

Also, it makes your car unbalanced, Throws your around a bit, and also, if you cut them with an angle grinder, They can crack/brake ..

So, just get lows ...

It depends on how you cut it however.. If you were to cut it, don't just cut it; spend time on assessing the spring as I've heard of some suspension shops do this and it working very very well.

so what would happen hypothetically if one were too cut a little bit off a set of kings lows? theyre stiffer than stock and if you only removed a little bit ie 1inch drop would it make that much of a handling difference ??

Pretty sure if you dont cut full coils off they wont sit in the seats properly. My king superlows almost fall out when the car goes on a hoist... Springs coming out of seats is not a cool thing when you're driving.

I cut the springs in my first car and it was the roughest riding, dodgiest handling bucket I've ever been in. Mind you that could be due to the 4" drop

Seriously, don't do it, you'll end up buying springs anyway, so just put some $$ aside til you have enough to do it right.
