See below questions.
Been mucking around with pedal box... i noticed it was bent, so I removed it and found it had already been welded up and had then cracked around the weld again... So we're going to fix it up with a stiffener plate etc. Also noticed this....

Looks machined from factory to me. Also clucth adjust need to be a certain height off the floor. I just set it up just above the brake pedal. ( thats for an ef)

As above ... regarding the machined flat.
As for adjustment ... I think it's a personal preference ... as long as it disengages fully. The clutch take up point can be adjusted so that the clutch starts to engage with the pedal just starting to come off the floor or starting to engage further up the pedal travel ... whatever is your preference. It would be a good idea to not have the clutch pedal hight too much higher than the brake pedal though ... so a bit of a common sense compromise and it's all good.
