hi guys

sorry if im in the wronge forum. My clutch cable stoper has been pushed through the the fire wall, not all the way mabey half inch though. Has anyone had this problem and what did you do about it. Just some advice on what to do would go a long way. Apparently this is common on e serise falcon with aftermarket heavy clutch. i will put up a pic soon.

Cheers

yeah its very common. Do a search for damaged firewall. your gonna need to get it welded. stop driving it before you pull it right through and end up having to spend even more to repair greater damage.

Something that I have found is that the rubber insulator that is down at the bellhousing is too soft.....you lose as much as 4mm in travel. A fix that works is to fit a wide band hose clamp around the black plastic housing that the rubber bush is in.
One of the main reasons I have found that firewalls crack is from over-adjusted clutch cables....due to either, adjusted incorrectly from the start, or a worn clutch.

Yes definatly dont drive it lol, i drove mine for 2 weeks with the bent in around the clutch hole becoz i had to, and the clutch cable snapped from rubbing, i have scince had it reinforced with a heavy steel plate, will get some pics up, the pedal boxes also fail. a mate of mines did and we had to get the pedal box out and welded :x
