G'day guys,
my clutch has started to slip and I'll be replacing it soon, but I want your opinions - what would be less hassle to get to the clutch - pulling the g'box out from underneath - or pull the motor out? I was wondering if I'd have enough room (after removing radiator etc) to lift motor forward and do clutch that way?

Box out far easier and quicker takes about 2 hours

thanks Bob - figured that would be the easier way.... hey, rang up Sprint Auto - they quoted me `around 400 dollars, cos they're so rare...' Rang up a clutch supplier, no worries, in stock, 140....

lol what did they take you for?
One day the mods should make up a "dodgy dealings" topic just for putting rip off merchants in. Maybe do your seals at the same time whilst the box is out?

Yeh, I'd agree on the ripoff thing but that was the surprise - normally Sprint Auto seem to be really cheap for prices - used them before - but I'll think twice next time....
By the way, what seals are you referring to that I should do at the same time?
