Hi I've just bought a full manual conversion, looks like I need a new clutch kit. I see advertised EA clutch kits, then EBII onwards clutch kits. My box came out of an XG and the clutch uses 6 bolts to connect to the flywheel. Am I right in thinking that I need the later model clutch kit?
Also Valeo or Exedy? Valeo are cheaper.

Yes, later model clutch.
No idea on 6s, all my mates have ran PBR XR6 and they've been good. I know of people who've been unhappy with the Exedy 'sports tuff' in a 5L. Valeo did the stock clutchs and I've seen an XR8 one holding 240rwkw with no dramas.

This is the clutch that I would recommend.
Valeo Heavy Duty Clutch Cheers BenJ

Great thank you both. Got one more avenue to try then I'll be getting one of these valeos off ebay aus. The Heavy Duty XR8 one you posted is only $15AU more than the XR6 advertised one! Sweet, hopefuly postage won't be too dare. At approx $300NZ these are much cheaper than anything I've found over here yet. (quotes ranging from $370 to $600 for standard)

Ok better yet I've scored an Exedy heavy duty for $280NZ brand new. At that price I can't pass it up.
