Dose anyone know of a modification to strengthen the clutch pedal mounting bracket for my son’s XF and my EB. Strangely enough they both seem to have the same week s**t bracket. You would have thought Ford would have fixed it on the E series. I have pulled my sons bracket out and re welded around the mounting pin, but it would seem to be the same on my EB. Did Ford make a heavier duty one on a different model (ute or wagon)?
Or should I just beef it up the bracket with heavier gauge steel. I don’t really won’t to be under the dash a third time pulling them out? |

Im not sure whether mal wood (possibly?) doesnt do a heavier clutch pin for the fords? maybe something someone else can shed some light on? Though i do read street commodores, and i might have seen it in there. Not sure, just make some inquiries

i had the same problem, take the driver seat out and drop the steering column down on the floor and remove the pedals so you can weld it out of the car.. i did it today.. piece of piss took me like 10 mins to remove pedals |

removing and fixing is not the problem and the pin is not the prob its
the bracket that has split near the pin putting the peddle out of alignment just wanted to know if there is a replacement bracket thats stronger will probably have to make my own mods to original |

don't bother with welds as it will still snap (done it)
2-3 years ago i picked up a brand new unit for $230 from ford. i haven't had it reinforced as the car was wrecked, but still have the cradle and will have it reinforced before it goes in the new car...
