Hey everyone. After the conversion from Auto to Manual, I have found that the pedal feels weird...compared to other manual cars I have driven.
When you push the pedal down to the floor...and just let go a little it tends to "pop" back at you pushing the foot back up. It's like the cable is caught on something and then slips out and springs or something. What could cause this? I was thinking along the lines of clutch cable, clutch fork or pressure plate. Sorry if the description isn't that great... Any help would be great cheers phong =P~

What clutch you using Phong?
Kyle has the PBR XR6 clutch and its poppy as a f**k. I had to drive it through my caravan park once, and I stalled it like 3 times lol.

It's just a standard clutch in it and it does feel pretty crap, you mainly notice on take off.

You might have to hit the gym Phong,
build up your leg muscle's a bit to stop the popping mate. |

Thanks guys...will give the foot a bit of an exercise...whose first for the a** kicking?
I guess I have to get used to the poppingness of the clutch then...not like i struggle to drive it at the moment. Have stalled it before...a lot of times before but getting used to it. Cheers everyone, and once I get my funds I'll be dragging marc...so don't worry I am not pulling out as of yet. phong =P~

Phong, I'm not getting my tune up tomorrow for you not to race mate,
Come on, it's a 3.9 CPFI Auto on gas, no Mod's at all, Stock as a rock. Beg, Borrow and Steal your way in mate. |

If he stalls, that be the only way I'd win. LOL
The mechanic tune the car for HWY cruising not drag racing. |

i have also done a conversion in my EF, and i put an EXEDY heavy duty single in it, and it's poppy as hell, but i love it, the response is great. my only problem is my cable, it must be going the wrong way to the box, i have alot of play and have the peddle sitting really high up, i've adjusted everything i can, had to bodgy it up just to drive it. At the moment i have it running under the box, is this the right way? or am i ment to have it running over and down the side of the engine?
cheers

cheers The way I ran it the cable was from the friewall, then running it down behind the steering column away from the exhaust, then under and around that uni-joint with the bell looking thing at the end of the steering column and then along the steering rack, between the rack and the sump. Works fine for me. phong =P~

did you need any clips to hold it in place?, i have to change mine, as i have it running down the firewall and along the swaybar, but the peddle is sitting out along way, i think i have to much play in the cable, if i adjust the cable at the firewall, i have no clutch, but put the peddle out far and it works
