Hey guys

when it cant get any f**k worse IT DOES!! im driving to a mates last night and im sitting at the lights then push the clutch in and its all soft?? so i pull over and tighten the clutch cable and it seemed ok for like one push of the cluytch then went to s**t again.

ive loosened the cable and retightened it played with it , pulled it i dunno whats wrong??


nothing looks broken or anything, BUT this has happened before and last time it was the cluitch cable but that went a few months ago and was replaced with a brand new one??

The cable may have cracked the firewall where it comes through and is bending more each time you use or adjust it.

no not really had a quick look last night though and the firewall looked ok will have to look in the daytime!

where the cable attaches to the pedal there is a dodgy c shaped clip/brakcet. very common for these to bend/break.

ok


i have checked the firewall = fine
dodgy c bracket where cable connects on pedal = fine
other end of cable where connects to tranny = fine

wtf??? the only conclusion i can come to is the cable has strectched but i just replaced it 3 months ago

any ideas

clutch plate / pressure plate?

might have to pull it out and have a look make sure its all good inside

leroys on the money here took it to a mechanic and clutch pressure plate is screwwed

new hd clutch and flywheel machined so all should be good !!!


hopefully! this clutch has given me nothing but trouble,.

yeh mine packed it in about a month ago. my pedal was the complete opposite - almost broke the seat pushing it cause it got that hard. a couple of months before that i repaired the pedal box and firewall due to bending/cracking.

woohoo its all fixed and i got them to fit my short shifter while they were at it and its so god damn good now i think my old clutch wasnt fitted right cause it feels so much different its f**k awesome wooo hoo!h
