The Clutch Pedal Box in my AU Falcon XR6 is cracked; I noticed it when water was leaking in when it rained. Now does anyone know if this is a common fault with the XR6 5 Speed Manual series? I think I'm looking at having to take the dash out as the crack appears to require welding. Could this be a common fault with this model in the manual configuration and if so does FORD know about it?

i had the same thing in my ute but i think it just came down to being a little hard on it when driving
i got 1 of the boilermakers at work to make me up a new 1 and i haven't had any probs from it |

my cusin was telling us that au utes are bad for firewall cracking and ford still does repairs to them i think

yeah nothing new about pedal boxes bending and firewalls cracking.
been a problem right through the E series, might even be a doco in the tech section about fixing the firewall.

Flick fiend a pm, he makes firewall reinforcers for e series maybe it will fit your AU.
