G'day
Does anyone here use or know someone who does, these clutches: http://cgi.ebay.com.au/Falcon-eb-ed-ef- ... dZViewItem Reason i ask is they seam like a fair price, and i'm hunting for a clutch to use behind my el motor going into my xf wagon. Cheers

Can't help ya there!
But I swear the box looks like the new/reconditioned ones from supercrap auto! I also like on one of their resellers: Model: Dodge Conquest Engine: L4 2.6 Trans Type: Manual THATS RIGHT.... IT SUITS A MANUAL! I'd personally go PBR or RPM (same) for a reasonable cheap clutch! Buy Austalian! .......support us so we can buy large factories oversea's!

Give Mike a ring and have a talk with him - he certainly knows his stuff since he installs the gear he sells.
Then get some other input from other clutch/brake places as well - particularly those with hands on experience.

I just bought at PBR one from Repco, $250 bucks on special, normaly 300ish. Havent gotten around to putting it in... any tips for first timers?

Buy a new spigot bearing (genuine 23 bux) may as well while ur at it.
Obtain an old input shaft to plate alignment! if you need one, I've one for a T5 u can borrow.

G'day
I have a pbr clutch at the moment. I must say it is s**t. It vibrates and carries on all the time. I'm not getting another one. I rang a few other places 2day about clutches and have been told that exeddy may be the way to go, but i had about 4 different options from different people. Cheers

Cheers Yeah that was the same as me, I asked a whole bunch of people and not one of them agreed on which was a good clutch... there is a 3 page long post here somewhere with a good write up of things people are using... but there is no unanioumous(spelling) decision on which is best. |

I got a PBR clutch and when the diff seized, I had smoke pouring out of the clutch trying to move the car(only installed that day
 ) So far clutch ahs stood up well. AM happy enough with it.
Things to remember when installing a new clutch.... Machine flywheel look at rear seal and replace if any sign of leaking Replace spigot dont get any grease/oil on new clutch assembly when installing box dont let it hang on clutch. dont over do the lube of input shaft or bearing carrier. Exeedy/Daikan are ok as well, bit pricey PBR is ok as well. Be wary of "no name" clutches. Prolly not as major an issue in cars but in trucks can be an expensive exercise
