hey guys, just wondering if anyone knows of anywhere that sells strut braces and/or coilovers for an EB falcon...they would only be for the front because the rear doesnt run struts...
if i cant find any then it's gonna be angle grinder and welder time...make some homemade style ones

i heard that front falcon suspension doesnt need a strut brace as the front end is very strong. cars like commodores benefit from them as they have a weaker front end.

I didn't think Whiteline did E-Series strut braces.
I think they do upper a-arm bracing, which would be more beneficial then a strut brace.

i enquired at pedders about a strut brace for my ed and they said that they dont stock them for the e-series cars as they dont need them, due to the fact that the front of the car is very strong and there isnt enough in the strut towers to warrant a brace. personally i would suggest spending you money on heay duty front and rear sway bars.

Got my strut brace from pedders a few years ago. Part No: 4645, paid $158.
Made a noticable improvement. |

If you could be more specific about what you're thinking of when you say 'strut brace' - The E series would see no benefit whatsoever from a brace that goes from one tower to the tower, the suspension setup on the front simply doesnt 'load up' the towers and therefore no bracing is required.
When you say 'strut brace' this is what I'm talking about.... If you've got a HUGE amount of power and have chassis/body/subframe rigidity concerns then some sort of bracing might be worth looking at. Thinking about the layout, and admittedly not having a huge amount of ford-specific knowledge, I'd think tower to firewall somehow would be of more benefit (in a HUGELY powered E) |

stop spreading misinformation...... here is a pic of the falcon setup. the top of the spring and shock are bolted to the shock tower. the spring and shock carry all of the load of the front of the car. %100 of the load carried by the spring is supported by the shock tower. the shock/spring is also angled inward, no straight up. there is a force trying to push the towers inwards...... want proof any one here that has a trolly jack can proove it. simply jack up the car from under the K-frame. messure the distance between the two towers. drop the car on the ground and messure again. it will be different

Almost every falcon saloon car I have seen has a strut brace. The guys I have spoken to say they make a difference, but they are giving it more than we do on the road (I hope so anyway).
