I run quadrant bilstien coilovers in the front of my EF. They can make coilovers for the rears but for we didn't think I would need to go that way at the moment.
Definatly a big improvement with handling but i'll be giving it a work out soon at Winton so i can see how much improvement there really is. <a href="http://photobucket.com" target="_blank"><img src="http://i106.photobucket.com/albums/m241/projekt_j/S3000065.jpg" border="0" alt="Photo Sharing and Video Hosting at Photobucket"></a>

Why do you want them???? The front is a "coil over shock " anyway. The ones in the pic above are done in such a way that you can adjust the spring preload, just like on most motorcycles. They are of use for circuit racing/rallying...etc... Its easier/cheaper to go big sway bars first, then go your shockies.

Your guys are spot on with the reasons for having the coilovers, for me its because I do Club sprints i needed to run higher spring rates and this setup that i run is perfect for what i'm doing. But in regards to sway bars, I have discussed this option with Quadrent Bilstien and they have suggested to me that sways might affect the handling, so i'm going to run without sways for awhile and then look at diffenernt options when i get to that point

Higher spring rates are good, but there is a trade off with road tyres that cannot handle being loaded up that heavily, and race tyres can. Its like a redial tyre cannot cope with in excess of 500ft/lb, and heavy spring rates will work in a similar fashion. I run a 550lb front, and a 380 rear in my EL, and its on the limit for road tyres, but it was predominantly designed for tarmac rally work. |

What???????, NO sway bars????? WTF!!!!! Do they think your driving an open wheeler that weighs about 500kgs??? In my experience, that is a crock. Any body mention to you about shifting the engine/trans backwards, about a 12" or so??? Horses for courses, remember that.

Sorry didn't make that clear, I ment no sway bars as in not upgrading the sways to larger ones for the moment but to run the standard ones for the moment.
I apologise if people thought i ment no sway bars at all.

Nice shot of your coil overs there. I see you have a grease nipple in the top B/J. Does that miss your tyres by much??? On my EA, the tyres hit/rub on the B/J on hard cornering.
