is any body running coil overs in there falcons how much is the ballpark figure and were could i get a set from what are the best brands?
i need new shocks and i was thinking just getting a set of coilovers at the rear of my car and i want the back end to handle in the hills more and drift out on corners harder lol

What kinda of price range do you wanna spend?
I'm looking at around 2.5-3k for Tein super street (coil overs front, normal at the back due to leafs) with the EDFC computer |

i need new shocks and i was thinking just getting a set of coilovers at the rear of my car and i want the back end to handle in the hills more and drift out on corners harder lol I can't see an advantage per se of fitting coil overs on the rear because it's already easy to get different spring rates, to swap them, and to adjust the ride height, droop and bump. The front isn't hard either. Coil overs cost $$$$. Adjustable shock valving might be good though, although bilsteins work well without it.

yeah i no i just wanna stop the body role i supose pump up shocks are similar and cost about $250

also i was looking at HKS ones ive seen them for 1600 but thats for a silvia were could i get falcon ones from im not looking at doing this as a soon mod most probly when i turbo the thing

Ring up a good suspension place and they should be able to help you out and tell you what's available for your car. Koni yellows ones are good too, just have a lil nob on top you turn to make it stiffer

i have coil overs in my ef, unsure on the price though,

Are you refering to your EA? AFAIK the only avaiable coil overs for them are the Pedders which are also sold by Nolathane. I've got a set in the front of my EF, they're rock hard (I do have them on the hardest setting to lift the front up a bit).

If you want to stop body roll upgrade your stabiliser bars front and back, and while your at it replace the bushes holding it on with polyurathane ones, this will stiffen things up and help stop body roll.

ok cheers man i need alot of work done to my steering and handling side of things ive got clunks and bangs all over the place a good upgrade and change over of the bushes and ball joints and rack should be good

I recommend sorting out any problem bushes, ball joints, tie-rod ends and the like first, then the wheel alignment, then shocks, if that's not enough then springs, and if that's not enough then swaybars.
Something else to keep in mind is that wide low profile tyres that increase lateral grip thus increase body roll. H/D shocks and lowering the car with H/D coils probably more than compensates for that effect.

there is no advantage of puttin coil overs on a falcon u need good shortened struts lowered springs bigger swaybar on front coil overs are a wast of money un less not suported buy upper control arm ak: commodore... as i work for pedders u will get more out of gsr big bore struts super low springs with 30 mm sway bar change front sway bar only

There is plenty of advantage to be had by installing coilovers into any car, yet as quote so far by other members, there is cheaper alternatives to improving handling, and as mentioned, bushes is where to start. ea_falcon, not many brands at all actually make coilovers for falcons. And installation of them into your falcons rear is not the way to make your car "drift out harder" Good spring/shock setups are much cheaper, and unless you plan on hitting the track, there is no point going to coilovers when spring/shock will be enough. Currently my EBII manual sedan has just custom springs and short stroke shocks, with an approx 80mm ride height and an OPEN DIFF, and it is a pretty tail happy car. Although, if you have you heart set on coilovers, then if you or someone you know is handy in the garage, you can make full adjustable coiloversa quite cheaply. Hope this helps you. Andrew.
