Just been down to the shops in my el sedan and noticed that all of a sudden I now have to hold the sterering wheel at about the 2 oclock position to keep the car straight on the road. I swear it wasnt like this yesterday or was it a progressing thing happeneing. I had a wheel aligment early last november as well. Anyone have any ideas why all of a sudden my steering wheel has gone out of whack, scratchin my head over this one. I will of course book it in next week to have it looked at and fixed..

A half flat tire can do this, although i dont think it'd go to the 2 o'clock pos.

Have you hit any big bumps? Maybe check yous steering arms are still straight, and most importantly, that they are still tight.

Often you can come upon a road(s) that has more camber than normal and/or a slight bend that sees the steering wheel at an angle even though the wheel alignment is fine. Especially if the rack/ball-joints/tie-rod-ends/suspension-bushs are worn.

Otherwise yes soggy tyre.

Or grossly uneven load carrying.

Or . . .

After a bit of investergation Ive found that with the car not running if I rock the linkage between the end of the steering column to the steering rack there is a lot of play plus a definet clunking noise. Ive yet to get under the car and have a look but I suspect a tie rod might be the suspect..
