hey guys
the old EA donor for the box and such had a switch on the pedal box for the clutch
asked one of the techs at work and he said its an idle controller switch or something (EA 3.9 singlepoint). thought about using this and splicing it into the cruise control cancelling switch on hte brake pedal?

has anyone else done this?
cheers boyo's!

The grey rectangular box type switch is not the cruise cancel switch.

There is another hole near that switch that the vacume release switch, which is identical to the brake one goes in. You will need to splice the wiring and add a T piece to the vacume lines.

Hope that helps

EF cruise doesn't use vacuum like EA-ED.
You'll have to find an EF/EL clutch switch.

It won't, but you might be able to fit by self tappers a small 'L' bracket at the front which you can fit a HQ-HZ holden brakelight switch and a 5 pin green/blue relay from an e series falcon (all up probably less than $10 from a self serve wrecker). Wire the cancel wires so that they only open circuit when the clutch is pressed, i.e. use pins 30 & 87A, run pin 85 to IGN power, e.g. the brake light s/W power, pin 86 to the HQ brake switch, and the other HQ brake switch connection to earth.
And also the brake light s/w is adjustable.

I'm assuming this is a DF LTD, with EF pedalbox.
