My brake pedal feel didn't change alot, however when I stand on them hard they seem to pull up better, and seem to resist fade better. Probably a combination of pad choice and the slotted rotors though.

I run EBC slotted rotors all round , Fantastic you can not beat them . I also do a bit of track work and they work well with the right pads, if you are hard on your brakes you will notice the diff even if you only run them on the front. I paid $ 110 each.
Good luck with them.

on my old ef i had warped rotors not even 6 months of owning it.
needless to say that the slotted/drilled rotors and bendix pads combination was an upgrade. i'll be doing them soon on this car.

i wouldnt have minded some slotted's on my trip down south. 130 down a hill then noticing the turnoff was very close.. 130-50 very quickly.. it didnt feel like the stock brakes liked it very much

I just got new DBA slotted rotors for the front of my ef, massive difference! i was a bit sketchy at first about whether they would make much improvement and yeah, im very happy. paid 330 for bendix pads, rotors and bearings. that was at around cost price tho, i think it woulda been about 400-450 if i didnt get trade discount. well worth it tho i reckon

i've got DBA's slotted aswell and i have to say there awesome. Placed ebc green stuff pads on and they pull up great. Apart from the excess brake dust i cant complain when it saves my skin plenty of times.

what ever pads i have i hate them, brake dust galore!
after a week or 350km of driving there is more black on the rim than grey/silver.. to the point where you cant really tell the origional colour

YEp, slotted discs are alot harder on pads, that means more dust. Nothing you can do about it. I'd prefer the better braking, and weekly cleanings, than stock brakes.

Damn straight. they also chew pads a bit faster, but they hol;d up a hell of a lot better, plus machining isnt so paramount on them, as they rarely pit as the pads wear more evenly

well i run DBA slotted up front with EBC greenstuff and RDA standard/solid on the back with bendix advance. used to have the advance up front too but they would fade. it took me less than a year to warp the slotted up the front with all my mountain driving. replaced them and put greenstuff pads on the front and its great. i mean the original upgrade of brake components was 100 times better than the stock and now its even better with the new pads. you wont regret it.

I have slotted on front and they are definately worth upgrading especially if you intend on keeping the car for a while. The only thing i dont like is what everyone else has said more brake dust but its a small price to pay when you concider it may save an accident

Have you guys experienced noise from you rotors, when braking?
More so, like a groaning/minor chatter that reduces with speed. I have had it, it was bad, when bedding in for the first 1000k's, but it got better (reduced noise). I have done now around 9000k's on them, still got the bite ) But still have a slight groaning noise that reduces with speed. I am running Bendix Ultimates as well. Have thought of goin to EBC greenstuff, or the Lucas pads. Just to see if the noise factor reduces. Have been told that the Ultimates are a hard compound and they "vibrate" on the disc, which creates the noise. Anyone else can atest to the EBC's or Lucas Pads with noise?

As long as there's no vibration associated with the noise that's normal. It's the slots doing there work.
