hey guys
im just wondering wats the differnces between the gear ratios 3.45 and 3.23 and its an lsd diff too, like the accelleraction wise and that which one do u recommend for a manual car for my ef fairmont ghia series 2 6cl i no that the 3.23 gear ratio will have a lower rev at 100km n the 3.45 ratio will be in a higher rev n that the 3.23 will make my gearing abit longer i think :S but wat do u recommend i need help asap cheers david

maybe not as much as you might think, your car is manual as well so its not like its going to be an auto with a 3.08 diff. O a performance note TAXI5L ran a 15.00 1/4 mile in his xh xr6 5sp with a 3.23 on good friday.

you might notice it a bit, but it only takes about 2hrs tops to swap the diffs over(if you can do it yourself) its a case of try it and see. If you dont like it save some cash and get the 3.45 done up, I had mine reco'ed a couple of weeks ago and it only set me back $770

I've had 3.08, 3.23 and 3.45's in my car, the best i found was the 3.23:1 I found with the manual combo I had a little more legs and felt more comfortable.
