car is an auto EF, clunks when i take it from park to drive, makes a knocking noise from diff when cruising at 60, worse on decelleration, is it safe to drive still??? done about 600ks like this?? cheers

I would take it to a good mechanic and let him take a look matey, it sure doesn't sound good.

get under car and check diff for play if you can move tail shaft with it in park its had it, its a very common problem in fords happened to everyone iv owned, can pick em up from wreakers cheap as i found one with no play at all id say its had a rebuild for $80 in brisbane

cheers guys i think there was play in the diff, so i upgraded to LSD noise is gone now thanks so much for you time n effort
