Hi All

I have just finished putting a 3.45 LSD I got from the wreckers into my fairmont.

As I start to move forward slowly I get some mean vibrations, feels like the driveshaft is out of balance - no noises or whines (Mind you I havent gone past 10km/hr yet.

Any ideas?

KSK

What car?
If its a 3.45 diff its out of an XR, what upper arm mount points did you use?

Unfortunately they couldnt tell me what is was out of, I am thinking EF xr6 going by the stamps.

There was only one mounting point for the upper arm - my original diff had two.

if your car is an EL, then you have the wrong upper arms in, you need EF ones.

Bugger - so this causes the vibrations? it seemed to line up and fit in so nicely..... Thanks for your help - Will post some pics soon to see if you all could help ID it as an EF.

KSK

###UPDATE#### Swapped them over to EF control arms as suggested and vibration gone - thanks guys
