can anyone who knows how work out what the 100kmh rpm speeds would be in a 4 spd auto for ......

Just take note of what revs your doing with your current diff ratio and...

(current rpm @100) divided by (current diff ratio) multiplied by (new diff ratio)

eg. It does 1850rpm @100km/h with 3.08 diff and you wanna upgrade to 3.7 so...

(1850 / 3.08) = 600.6 x 3.7 = 2222 rpm @100km/h

Thanks digger, I was always a flop at maths :)

2200 at highway cruise sounds acceptable. unless I drove or drove in someones car who had 4.11's Id be reluctanct to use them myself purely because Id hate to put em in on mine then hate the highway rpm.

Plus also- If I went 3.7's I can still change to t5 later IF i ever chose to, without having to change diff. it keeps my options open. I guess Id have to see 4.11's in a btr before I make a 100% descision though.
