Got an NF for a week and I can't stand the steering, it is complete and utter rubbish. No feel at all at low speeds, if its easy, how do I disable the speed sensitive steering?

I'm asuming youd just be able to remove the fuse? Not real sure but

I don't think the NFs came with speed sensitive power steering.. this was introduced on the EL Fairmont Ghia

Thats probably what it is, its a 1997 model.
Its all good now, I've returned the car and dont have it anymore. It is easily one of the worst cars I have ever driven, only because of the steering - everything else was good for a car of its size and weight. |

what's the deal with speed sensitive steering... i've never used it... lighter at the lower speeds so it's easier to do tight turning and stuff?

Yeah, its so light you think the front tyres are in the air. Your little pinky finger could simultaneously turn 3 of these steering wheels against a curb. It only gets progressively heavier as you go faster than (i think) 30-50km/h - the speedo didn't work on this car so i'm not sure of the exact speed.
