G'day.

Can anyone tell me what the correct size ring spanner I need to use on the bleeder valve on my brake discs?

I have tried 10mm ring, seems a bit sloppy and 11mm is too big.

I have contaminated brake fluid, according to Pedders Suspension the fluid has mould in the master reservoir.

I'd like to get the old brake fluid out asap.

Would methylated spirits be ok to clean the inside of the reservoir and then flush with new brake fluid?

Cheers, Peter

If 10mm is sloppy, then use a 3/8" spanner. You will need to remove the little rubber ring on the bleeder too.
It is possible to remove the Res from the M/cyl.......there is a little bolt under the Res......can't remember if it is 8mm or 7mm.......get a little mirror on a stick and you'll see it.

cjh,

Thanks on the info on brake resevoir.

Has anyone done work on bleeding the brakes as such.

Has anyone done any good using 10mm ring spanner? I'll try 3/8" spanner next few days and see if it that fits.

Perhaps I should get new brake bleeder valves just n case.

Thanks, Peter
