hi as above my auto whines in first it changes pitch as you increase speed
once you change into 2nd the noise is allmost no existant (probably is) the autos done 198,000 and ive had it for 20,000 and its allways done it do they all do this or is there an underlying problem im only asking because i dont want to blow it when i do the engine rebuild expecting 180rwkw also are there any stronger diff gears available for my model thank you in advance for any help

Majority of Falcons I've had have done this. I've never worried about it, kinda get used to the taxi-spec whine in 1st!

yup every auto falcon has that whine in 1st, its better than it used to be, anyone rememeber the XF (series) falcon autos.
if your planning reasonable power with an auto, get a good trans cooler, and as stronger diffes, consider somthing like a lokka (not a spool) over an LSD, but the lsd's are reasonably strong provided your not ripping skids everywhere . |

my EB whines in first only when i lock it in gear

the whine comes from the planetary gear set.
